The work of the mosaicist is one of the oldest and most durable art forms existent. Mosaics have given beautiful glimpses of life, immortalized in stone or glass, throughout time and spanning millennia. The mosaicist must combine artistic talent, technical expertise and, last but certainly not least, patience, to create artworks of unsurpassed beauty, one very small piece, or tessera, at a time. We have created mosasics so small the tesserae have been broken down into smaller pieces measuring only a few millimeters across, and other mosaics so large that a million tesserae were not enough to complete them. This project included the creation of 7 large mosaic panels, re-creating the decorative artwork inside the Berlin Cathedral, damaged during the last world conflict. Nine years of patient work allowed us to craft what are certainly artworks of truly rare beauty and artistic scope.
